LONDON, Oct 25 (Reuters) - Harry Redknapp said on Saturday that he will become the new manager of Tottenham Hotspur.
“It’s a great opportunity for me to manage a big club before I retire,” Redknapp told Sky Sports News, confirming he had agreed to take over as manager at White Hart Lane.
Spurs said on their website earlier on Saturday that their Spanish manager Juande Ramos had been sacked and they had been given permission by Portsmouth to talk to Redknapp. (Editing by Ken Ferris)
